Protected Areas (PAs)

“Protected Area” means a geographically defined area which is designated or regulated and managed to achieve specific conservation objectives. The national authorities in Syria (MAAR & MoLAE) have devoted special departments and directorates to deal with these areas and manage and follow up other areas of concern with special features to be protected according to their national and even regional importance.
