Wetlands
A wetland is a place where the land is covered by water, either salt, fresh or somewhere in between; Marshes and ponds, the edge of a lake, sea or ocean, the delta at the mouth of a river,low-lying areas that are frequently flood—all of these are considered wetlands.
Wetlands are considered a special habitat that attracts wide range of wildlife (terrestrial and aquatic) and contains a unique biodiversity all year round. These are also considered as stop over sites for many migrating water birds for feeding as well as for resting during migration.
